The Sri Lankan Planning Engineers Association was inaugurated on the 25-Aug-2024 at a general meeting under the supervision of the Sri Lankan Professionals Associations of UAE. The SLPE-UAE is a now a member association along with 8 other professional associations within Sri Lankan Professional Association FZ- LLC Registered within the Meydan Free Zone.

Objectives
a) Professional Development
- To promote and safeguard the interests of the Sri Lankan Planning Engineers in the UAE while enhancing and elevating their professional image.
- To improve the quality and standard of work in order to gain better recognition among industry.
- To promote higher disciplinary standards among its members.
- To promote the continuous professional development (CPD) of Sri Lankan planning engineers in the UAE through workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
- To facilitate certification programs and professional qualifications recognized internationally.
b) Networking and Collaboration
- To create a platform for networking and collaboration among Sri Lankan planning engineers in the UAE.
- To foster relationships with other professional associations and organizations
c) Knowledge Sharing
- To encourage exchange of knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions in the field of project planning, programme management, and portfolio management
- To organize conferences, webinars, and discussion forums on topics relevant to scheduling, planning, delay analysis, claim management, and etc

- To provide mentorship and support for new graduates and young professionals who are entering the field of project planning and scheduling
- To offer career guidance and support for professional growth and advancement.
e) Representation and Advocacy
- To represent the interests and concerns of Sri Lankan planning engineers in the UAE to relevant authorities, institutions, and employers.

j) Diversification to professional careers
- To guide and module to diversify planning career into different unique fields such as delay analysts, claim specialist, expert witness professionals, forensic analysts, system dynamics professionals, etc.
- Gather and share new knowledge bases of above interdisciplinary subject matters and explore new opportunities as a strong professional body in UAE.
- Acquire recognition of “Sri Lankan Forensic Analyst/Claim specialist” brand tag and position The Association as a Apex professional body for Delay Claim Experts in the Middle East region.
