Sri Lankan Bankers Association

Introduction

The Sri Lanka Bankers Association was inaugurated on the 7th of June 2023 at a general meeting under the supervision of the Sri Lankan Professionals Associations of UAE. The SLBA-UAE is a now a member association along with 7 other professional associations within Sri Lankan Professional Association FZ- LLC Registered within the Meydan Free Zone.

To be the leading institution for the advancement of Sri Lankan professionals engaged within the banking and finance fraternity and to empower our members to perform at the highest standard of professional conduct, thereby improving the brand of Sri Lankan banking professionals in the United Arab Emirates and the region.

Mission of SLBA- UAE

To guide and encourage members to practice the highest standards of conduct and to maintain highest internationally recognized standards of competence for the benefit of its members and the society at large.

Goals and Objectives

• To be the umbrella association for Sri Lankan Banking and Financial professionals employed in the U.A.E in promoting highest level of professionalism and career advancement.
• Conduct regular Continuous Professional Development (CPDs) and establish internal and local accreditation as a means of skill enhancement our membership.
• To enable SLBA as a hub for networking of like-minded professional not only within our membership but also within other professional associations with the United Arab Emirates and the region at large.
• Promoting opportunities for the advancement of Sri Lankan Banking professionals in the UAE.
• Providing facilities for networking and interaction among its members and by participating in the activities of other Sri Lankan associations and the professionals at large.
• Exploring and establishing Internal and local accreditation for our membership.
• Providing assistance to the Sri Lankan Embassy & Consulate to improve the Sri Lankan brand in the UAE.
